No. Hindu couples are governed by their own marriage law: in Sindh, including Karachi, the Sindh Hindus Marriage Act, 2016, and elsewhere the federal Hindu Marriage Act, 2017. Christian couples are governed primarily by the Divorce Act, 1869 and related Christian personal law. The Muslim Family Laws Ordinance does not apply, and grounds for divorce, procedure and inheritance shares all differ from Muslim personal law, which is why minority clients need counsel familiar with the law that actually applies to them.
